Emergency Weather Center

The purpose of the Emergency Weather Response is to provide a safe place for the homeless to
sleep on nights when the outside temperature could lead to hypothermia or even death. This response has been developed with a committee to serve St. Charles, Lincoln, and Warren Counties. The network of churches providing shelter will have the support of the county police department.
Emergency Response will be activated, if the outside temperature is predicted at or below 20 degrees overnight in the months of November through March.
During the time Ridgecrest becomes a host center, we will house up to 20 people in our church
building from 9PM to 7AM each night the temperature dips below 20 degrees.
If you are interested, please sign up before October 13.
